Laura Valladao is a Cinematographer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her passionate interest in light and deep connection to community inspires storytelling rich with honest and stunning visuals. She shot the feature film, "Premature", Directed by Rashaad Ernesto Green, which premiered in the NEXT program at Sundance 2019 as well as the short film "My Nephew Emmett", directed by Kevin Wilson Jr., which won the Student Academy Award in 2017 and went on to be nominated for an Oscar. Laura's documentary credits include "Outlaws: The Saga of Tupac and Afeni Shakur" directed by Allen Hughes and her commercial work has received awards from the AICP. Her work on Danish TV series “Limboland” directed by Rikke Schdt, helped season one to win TV Prisen for Best Television Series, Short Form.
Laura holds an MFA in Cinematography from New York University and loves to work in new places whenever the opportunity presents itself.
